Description
Moazzam Begg is one of nine British citizens who was held at Camp X-Ray, Guantánamo Bay by the government of the United States of America. He was released on January 25, 2005 without charge. Moazzam is now director of the organisation Caged Prisoners and appears extensively both in the media and around the country, lecturing and writing on issues surrounding imprisonment without trial, torture, and anti-terror legislation and community relations.
Clara Gutteridge is a human rights investigator who documents national security–related abuses in the East and Horn of Africa. She was formerly National Security Fellow at the Open Society Justice Initiative and Deputy Director of the Secret Prisons team at Reprieve.
