Description
This one-day conference brings together poets, composers, producers and academics to discuss the collaborative processes involved in the creation of contemporary opera. Speakers will include: Michael Symmons-Roberts, Fiona Sampson, John Casken, Robert Saxton, Liza Lim, David Beard, Jonathan Cross and Andrew Watts. Admission: £15, (£10 students)
The conference will be followed by a conversation between Sir Harrison Birtwistle and David Harsent discussing their opera The Minotaur at 6:00pm. Admission free and followed by a wine reception. This is a John Coffin Memorial event.
