Dr Barbara Ravelhofer (Durham): 'James Shirley’s Style'.  Authorship studies draw upon a hugely diverse array of methods to define a writer’s particular style or ‘footprint’. The paper dwells on  James Shirley, an early seventeenth-century poet and playwright, to discuss various approaches (including unorthodox ones).
