Dr Tom O'Shea, Queen Mary, University of London and Dr Gunnar Beck, School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London and Henderson Chambers
In this seminar Dr Gunnar Beck will address the following topics: the extension of the ECJ's jurisdiction; new decision-making procedures for EU criminal law; the division of EU's legal competences; primacy and subsidiarity; the implications of the Charter of Fundamental Rights and the UK protocol; the of legal uncertainty in the EU legal order. Dr Tom O’Shea will focus on the tax implications of the Lisbon Treaty and the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights. This talk should be of wide interest, not just to EU and competition lawyers, but all litigators, employment and tax specialists in particular. The seminar will also of interest those concerned with financial services reform. This seminar is accredited with 2.5 CPD hours from the Solicitors Regulation Authority and 2.5 CPD hours from the Bar Standards Board. Those wishing to obtain CPD accreditation must register on arrival. |
