Description

Since 2005, the US Congress has been grappling with the reform of the US immigration system, without yet reaching a resolution. Many of the issues are familiar ones in Britain, including enhanced border control, the policy response to irregular migration, quotas for legal migration and the restriction of access to citizenship. This lecture will discuss the current issues that together make up ‘comprehensive immigration reform’ and the contemporary debates on those issues.

Organised by the Migration and Law Network, with support from Laura Devine Solicitors and the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies.
